    We had 2 pugs who were the same age, bought at the same time but from different litters. Sadly, one of them died a few weeks ago and I’m having terrible trouble with the other one who is fine as long as you’re with him but gets extremely anxious at night & if you have to leave him. We’ve got him on a mothers protein powder to try and relax him and I did think we were making some progress. However, last night was terrible again and we are back to whining, barking & shrieking all night long… We initially addressed it by taking turns to sleep on the sofa next to his crate & then we gradually withdrew this, but as I say we’ve never gotten through a whole night without being disturbed at least twice & last night we were back to square one again. Both my husband & I are trying very hard to be patient & calm but obviously at 3am when you’re mega sleep deprived, your temper does occasionally flare. I’m ashamed to admit this but I’m worried that our getting angry might be making things worse & also affecting our relationship with him. I think we really need to seek help now to get his separation anxiety under control before he causes damage to himself or makes himself unwell. We cannot lose another dog so close together. Our long-term plan is to get a new friend for him, but we would both like some time to grieve so we can take pleasure in having a puppy. We’ve found one that is 2 weeks old & will be ready to go end of October. I’m just not sure our little one will last until then… Please can you help us?

  2. hi there I have a 4 year old male shihtzu and taking him walks is becoming so stressful he seems to
    want to go for every dog he see’s barking and lounging at them he will bark when strangers come into the house as well can you help thanks

  3. I have a 15 month, male beagle who is exhibiting gaurding aggression with all 3 family members items such as – gloves, underwear, etc.
    He does not exhibit this behaviour with his own food.

    I would appreciate any help you could give.
